Day 5- Planes, Trains, and Automobiles
Where in the world would we be today without modern transportation? I know where I would be; stuck, in a real rut. That is exactly how I can describe this past week that I went without my car. I was on my way home late last week when I saw steam coming out from under the hood. Soon there was smoke coming through my steering wheel. It was kind-of-really scary. But after a week in the doctor's office, and one big fat repair fee later, she is back on the road. For this I am very grateful. -Busy woman's gotsta have her wheels. :)
Day 4- Good Days.
You can't appreciate the good without swallowing some of the bad. Today made me especially grateful for those good days, because today was definitely NOT one of them. Good gravy, what an epic fail of a day! Im not one to dwell on sour happenstances, though; which is why today I am overwhelmingly grateful for good days. The kind of day when everything on the to-do list actually gets done, when you're lucky enough to find a great parking spot, giving you an extra five minutes to get to class;when you hear the leaves crunch and crackle under your shoes and smell the sweet crisp autumn air; when you get everything done and still manage to get in bed an hour earlier than you usually do; when, at the end of the day, you realize you've been smiling non-stop without really knowing why. These are the simple things that make up a jolly good day.
Gotta love 'em.:)
