Month of Gratitude

It is officially November. The trend has definitely been circulating, but for the past few years I have taken note of one thing for each day of the month that I am grateful for.

Day 1.

Today I am grateful for children. Each day I spend at work, I grow more and more attached to those kids. I get a kiss on the cheek, or an "I love you teacher" and I am reminded why I am there. The Lord definitely had his hand in my chance encounter with this job opportunity. It is nothing short of a daily struggle producing long term results. You forget that by changing pull-ups and wiping up vomit that you are earning a child's unconditional love and trust, but its through the small and simple things they do that you are reminded. These are keepsakes that I would not trade for anything; not even for a few extra hours of sleep every morning. ha.
